National Platform of ESN Hungary, February 2019 - Summary

Do you remember the flavour of PEZ candies from the school shop, the night-long UNO card game parties (wow, sleeping time after midnight!) and the secret letters during classes? The bell rung and the sections of ESN Hungary had the chance to relive some primary school memories during the first National Platform in 2019 held by ESN Corvinus on 22-24 February in Agárd, Hungary.
Two nights filled with memories and two days full of decisions, lessons and inspiration awaited the participants in the last month of winter.
The school schedule started on the first evening, the members of the National Board became strict teachers and the classes of the participants had singing, geography and mathematics lessons besides facing with the Vice-Principal and the Principal as well. Instead of struggling with tests there was an opportunity to get to know each other, the National Board and the organization as well.
Then the pyjamas appeared but it wasn’t sleeping time yet. After the lessons it was time to have some chill time and have a fun slumber party! Do you still remember the spinning bottle and then it stops and points at you? Do you remember when the arrow stops on right foot green and you feel you should get an applause for making this impossible position done? Awkward moments, funny scenes, many games and cool PJs = an authentic slumber party!
On Saturday and Sunday the plenary sessions and workshops influenced the enthusiastic members of the participating 14 sections as the refreshing power of the spring break. We learned more about the goals of the organization, the processes of the organization and we were able to participate in decision-making as well.
On Saturday night anyone could present their sparkling talents as the first ESN Hungary's Got Talent took place during the NP. Most of the candidates showed their singer talents but the stage sometimes became a dance stage as well. The audience was crazy about the new-born stars and sometimes joined a participants on the stage. The sometimes ruthlessly sincere or biased praising opinion of the jury after each performance shared the audience. The third place was taken by CHOIRvinus with its unique lyrics such as Cow Cow Multicolored. The second place went for the members of a wonderful duet who had another performances during the night. The hard work resulted in a beautiful fruit as it deserved the silver medal for their overwhelming success. The jury judged the first place for an emotional performance in which an artistic work presented that was a result of hard work and long preparation. The sophisticated song titled "Ez egy fa" (This is a tree) really came to life on stage as the artist made it alive by herself.
The experience-filled weekend had other excitements beside the pyjama party contest and talent show of ESN Hungary. The special feature of the first National Platform of the year is the new National Board application and selection. Three candidates held their presentation on Saturday and all of them were excited about the announcement of the results on Sunday. The moment was sad and joyful at the same time. The former Treasurer left the dirty finances behind and will be the president from May. The Communication Manager will continue her work to provide professional content in the enchanted world of social media in Hungary. But three positions have remained vacant so the National Board's prospects are not very good at the moment as the National Board is not able to start its work without an NR.

Even you can hold the math, geography lessons nest year or can help the students as a Vice-Principal. One of the empty positions may be just waiting for you, ask the board if you are interested in any of the positions!
Although tired faces were watching their dark coffee besides the buffet breakfast in the morning but we had a rich weekend full of experiences, laughter and excitement. And what will happen next? It is up to you! Follow what happens to the National Board and see you in May!
ESN Hungary National Platform, 2019. február - Összefoglaló

Emlékszel még a PEZ cukorka ízére, amit szünetben a büfében vettél, az éjszakába nyúló UNO partikra (húha, elmúlt éjfél!), és az órákon írt titkos levelekre? „Becsöngettek” az ESN Hungary szekciói számára, akik újra feleleveníthették az általános iskolai emlékeket a 2019-es év első National Platformján, amelyet az ESN Corvinus szervezett február 22 és 24 között Agárdon.
Két újabb emlékekkel teli este, és két döntésekkel, tanulságokkal, valamint inspirációval teli nap várt minden résztvevőn a tél utolsó hónapjában.
A megérkezés estéjén meg is szólalt a csengő, és a National Board erős tanári szigorral rögtön meg is tartotta az ének, földrajz és matematika órákat, ami mellett az osztálynak még az igazgató helyettessel és az igazgatóval is szembe kellett nézniük. A dolgozatírás elmaradt, azonban a tudásukat összegyűjtve játékos módon lehetett ismerkedhettek meg egymással, a National Board-dal és a szervezettel is.
Ezután előkerültek a pizsamák, de alvásról szó sem volt. Az órák után kellett a kikapcsolódás, indulhatott a pizsi buli! Rémlik még, ahogy az üveg pörög a földön, és amikor megáll, pont rád mutat? Emlékszel, amikor a játékvezető jobb láb zöldet pörget, és úgy érzed ujjongó tapsvihart érdemelnél, amiért kivitelezted a lehetetlen pózt? Kínos pillanatok, vicces jelenetek, rengeteg játék és menő pizsamák = egy autentikus pizsama party. Kell ennél több?
Szombaton és vasárnap a plenárisok előadási és workshopjai úgy hatottak a résztvevő 14 szekció lelkes tagjaira, mint a tavaszi szünet frissítő ereje. Még többet megtudhattunk a szervezet céljairól, a körülöttünk zajló folyamatokról, és részt vehettünk a döntéshozatalban is.
Szombat este minden jelenlévő megcsillogtathatta tudását, ugyanis sor került az első ESN Hungary’s Got Talentre. A jelentkezők leginkább az énekes produkciókban mutatták meg tehetségüket, azonban a színpad néha tánctérré is változott. A közönség megőrült a versenyzőkért, és néha csatlakozott egy-egy résztvevőhöz. A zsűri olykor kíméletlenül őszinte, néha részrehajlóan dicsérő véleménye minden előadás után megosztotta a nézőket. A harmadik helyet az CHOIRvinus foglalhatta el, akik teljes mértékben egyedi dalszövegekkel örvendeztették meg jelen lévőket, mint például a Cow Cow Multicolored. A második hely egy csodálatos duett tagjait illette meg, akiknek nem ez volt az egyetlen produkciójak az este, kitartásuk meg is hozta gyümölcsét, és ezüstérmesek lettek elsöprő sikert arató műsorukkal. Az első helyet egy érzelmekkel teli előadásnak ítélte a zsűri, a művészi kivitelezés azt mutatta, hogy kemény munka, és alapos felkészülés gyümölcse volt a performansz. Az „Ez egy fa” című kifinomult dal valóban életre kelt a színpadon az előadó személyében.
Azonban az élményekkel teli hétvége mást is tartogatott, hiszen nem csak a pizsamák gazdái és az ESN Hungary tehetségei versenyeztek ebben a három napban. Az év első National Platformjának különlegessége, hogy ekkor zajlik az új National Board pályázása és választása is. Három jelölt tartotta meg prezentációját, és velük együtt izgatottan várta mindenki a vasárnapi eredményhirdetés. Egyszerre szomorú és örömteli volt a pillanat. A korábbi Treasurer maga mögött hagyta a mocskos pénzügyeket az élre tört, májustól az elnöki posztot fogja betölteni, a Communication Manager pedig továbbra is profi tartalommal fogja ellátni a magyarországi szekciókat a social media elvarázsolt világában. Azonban három pozíció betöltetlen maradt, így jelenleg National Representative hiányában nem túl jók a National Board kilátásai, hiszen még nem állhat fel az új board.

Ne feledd, jövőre akár te is megtarthatod a matek, földrajz órát, vagy az igazgató helyettesként segítheted a diákokat. Az egyik üres pozíció lehet, hogy pont rád vár, érdeklődj a board-nál, ha kíváncsi vagy valamelyik pozícióra!
Habár reggelente a friss svédasztalos reggeli mellett az arcok megfáradtan meredtek a sötét kávéba, azonban egy tartalmas, élményekkel, nevetéssel és izgalmakkal teli hétvégét tudhatunk magunk mögött.
