ESN Győr

In our section of Széchenyi István University is located in the north-west part of Hungary near to Vienna and Bratislava, called Győr. We created a group which coordinates the mentors with the supervision of the International Project Centre (http://ipc.sze.hu/eng/). We are a small section with around 40 incoming students per year and 50 voluntary members (helpers and previous Erasmus students) of ESN around.

Considered the primary task for us is to provide mentors as personalized assistance in everyday affairs for all incoming students. A mentor helps by navigating on the campus, city, country, by getting subjects and finding teachers, by moving to the hostel and setting up the internet and of course organizing programmes.

Besides we are organizing several activities for them such as Welcome Party, sightseeing tour, trips within and outside Hungary, country presentation night, national evenings, Global Village with cooperation of AIESEC, sport and cultural activities, Christmas charity and donation. This year we organized the first Academic Workshop for Erasmus students with great success.
