ESN BKF is one of the newest sections in Hungary. We have officially started functioning as a section in October 2010. We have about 25 active members as of now. We are proud of our fastly developing section. Please read about our bigger projects and programs.
Mentor program:
We have created a system that provides a mentor for each of our exchange students. These mentors help the students in everything they can already before arrival and throughout their stay. This does not only ease the life of our incoming students but also helps integrating them into our community as well as our culture.
Erasmus Week:
This is organized once every semester. The aim of the week is to promote the Erasmus program, ESN as an organization and themes such as multiculturalism, diversity, etc. During the week we have activities that raises awarness of the above mentioned things through open library method, different round table discussions, etc. Students also have the possibility to chat with the exchange students currently studying at our university, as well as to talk to the Alumni who are happy to share their experiences. This is the week when our ESN section seeks new members and holds its motivation interviews. We also organize teambuilding activities for ESN members.
Welcome Weekend:
Our integration weekend full of great cultural and social activities for the exchange students and members of ESN BKF.
Social Erasmus:
A new project into which we have devoted lots of time and effort, because we believe it is of high importance. This semester we are helping at a school for homeless children.
Trips:
We usually organize 2 trips each semester - one within the borders of Hungary and one outside of it. This semester we check out the Balkans at the end of April!
ESN BKF also takes care of our outgoing students, preparing them for their big trip and great experience as well as helping their re-integration after their return through our Alumni program. We also provide several training opportunities for our members both inside and outside of the country, mostly through the Youth in Action program.
